I love soup. It's delicious, filling, warming, can be quick to make, and comes in an endless amounts of flavours.
I used to enjoy making soup fairly often with a soup maker my parents gave to us when I moved out, as they barely used it.
It was so much fun using it, until it wasn’t...
You see, the soup maker had a bit of a design flaw. The lid which housed the blender had a plug which attached to the top of the soup maker. When it started to heat up to cook the soup it would create steam, and I'm guessing at some point the seal failed as it started getting into where the lid plugged into the top of the blender and would trip the house constantly, which meant I had to stop using it.
While we do have a stick blender it's just not as fun to make soup with it, and I miss making my weekly soups...and that's where a lottery win comes in.
Like with the smoker I could technically afford to buy one myself, but I think it's more fun to have a range of lottery goals, from things that I consider a lower luxury item like a fancy soup maker, to something on the pricier end like a holiday!
