Unsurprisingly, this time of year in the UK can feel pretty chilly. Even with the heating on while wearing three layers, cosy slipper socks and at least one blanket wrapped round me, the cold can still somehow make its way in.

It also doesn't help that the floors downstairs aren't carpeted, which can make also make downstairs feel colder, and woe betide anyone who decides to step on our tiled floors bare feet during winter! You may say to me, well carpet the downstairs then, but would you want a carpeted kitchen, really? I think not...but instead, how about
heated flooring!
One of my brothers has heated flooring, and when we've visited during the chillier months it's soo nice to feel the warmth under your feet. Unfortunately underfloor heating is expensive, involves a lot of work, and is probably even harder to do in an older built house like ours is.
If I won the lottery though it would mean the expense wouldn’t be such an issue, and K and I could stay at a lovely hotel and relax until all the work is done, and then enjoy toasty feet all winter long.
In the meantime though my parents, K's Mum, and other family members bought me a bunch of new slipper socks for Christmas, so at least I can keep my feet somewhat warm until I win 🧦
